License for Digital Images

Any digital images created and saved using Institute of Watershed Studies (IWS) equipment, including digital cameras and the digital microscope or dissecting scopes, remains the copyright property of the person who created the image.

The copyright holder, by using the equipment, extends a license to WWU and its students, faculty and staff, to make further non-commercial use of the images.

• These images may be added to the IWS digital on-line library, and may be copied, downloaded, or otherwise disseminated for non-commercial purposes.
• The license held by WWU is extended to other educators who wish to use the images for non-commercial, educational purposes. Reference to the license held by WWU should be included.
• Use of the IWS digital equipment acknowledges acceptance of this policy.

Other taxonomic images may be contributed to the IWS digital on-line library, providing the contributor is the original copyright holder and acknowledges acceptance of this policy.
